Jamul Casino Launches San Diego Poker Classic

Uncovering a brand-new multi-day event that began on August 18 and ran through August 28 at the California-based Jamul Casino, the first San Diego Poker Classic is expected to be held at the location every three months. It is reported that RunGood Events is collaborating with The San Diego Poker Classic to present this series.

The report says Jamul Casino is providing a whopping $150,000 in prize money in numerous activities during the period, in addition, the JIVe Lounge and the casino’s poker room are said to be the event’s hosts.

According to the casino’s poker manager John Rochfort, there should be about 600 players for the inaugural San Diego Poker Classic, which will be held on the first Sunday of November, February, May, and August each year.

“We are expecting about 600 players for this first San Diego Poker Classic, and we will continue with a multi-day series every November, February, May, and August,” he said.

The San Diego Poker Classic has 14 trophy events, including The SDPC $50K Weekend Opener, which takes place from August 18-21 and features a $50,000 guarantee with a $250 buy-in.

The Weekend Opener is a $50,000 No Limit Hold’em event that kicked off the casino’s series on Friday with numerous opening flights. On Sunday, new tournaments with respective buy-ins of $300 and $240, such as the Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournament and the Black Chip Bounty, got underway.

The San Diego Poker Classic presents Seniors Sunrise NLH on August 22 for a $125 buy-in. The next day, Helix Poker and PLON will sponsor additional special events, including a ladies’ tournament with a $250 buy-in tomorrow, August 23.

With a $600 buy-in, the SDPC $100K Main Event, which runs from August 23–28, guarantees a $100,000 prize pool. Each satellite provided one seat to the main event for every 10 participants or $145 with a one-in-five chance. The entry fee for their satellite table seats was $85.
